Many questions unanswered, commissioner tells Conifer residents

By Daniel Laverty

More than a month removed from a heated exchange with Conifer residents over the county’s plan to burn slash at Shaffers Crossing, Jeffco Commissioner Donald Rosier participated June 10 in a more mellow discussion about regulation of recreational marijuana.

The county commissioners approved a moratorium on Tuesday on recreational pot sales in unincorporated parts of the county. The moratorium lasts until Feb. 1, 2015, and bans retail marijuana shops until the state creates a framework for use and sale of the controversial plant.
