DENVER HOSPICE SEEKS VOLUNTEERS: The Denver Hospice, which serves a nine-county metro area, including Jefferson County, seeks volunteer administrative support at its main office, 501 S. Cherry St. in Denver. Clerical volunteers work about four hours a week doing everything from data entry and filing to assisting with fund-raising events. Volunteers are at the heart of the Denver Hospice, a nonprofit that cares for those at end of life and offers grief support. 4-H LEADERS SOUGHT: 4-H is the youth development program of Colorado State University Cooperative Extension. FOSTER HOMES FOR KITTENS: The Evergreen Animal Protective League urgently needs more foster homes for kittens. ATTORNEYS NEEDED FOR LEGAL CLINIC: The Mountain Domestic Violence Coalition is developing a free legal clinic for mountain neighbors who are survivors of domestic violence. The legal clinic is designed to serve victims and survivors who need support around family law, including divorce and custody, but are not able to afford an attorney. Caring, local attorneys with an expertise in family law, and preferably experience working with victims and survivors, are needed to volunteer their time for this legal clinic. A clinic will be scheduled every other month for a couple of hours in the evening. PET FOSTER HOMES NEEDED: The Intermountain Humane Society invites interested people to consider fostering dogs while they await adoption into their new homes.
