The man suspected of impersonating a firefighter at the High Park Fire in Larimer County has been accused of a similar scam at the Lower North Fork Fire in March.
On June 19, Jeffco sheriff’s investigators searched the home of Michael Maher, 30, and reportedly recovered tools and food issued at the Lower North Fork Fire. A theft report had been filed in April for missing items, estimated to be worth $2,400, that had been issued at the wildfire southeast of Conifer.
