The Jefferson County school board approved the district’s 2012-13 budget on a 4-1 vote June 7, which includes continuing pay cuts and furlough days district-wide. Also, some 31 positions will be cut.
Some $15 million in cuts are spread through various departments. However, the board continued to provide some funding to the Outdoor Lab Schools.
The school’s total 2012-13 budget is $931 million, down very slightly from last year’s total budget of $932 million. The budget includes a $605 million general fund.
